Car was driving perfectly until few days ago, when first I smelled a burned oil during parking. Checked under bonnet and saw a bit of oil somewhere behind top Most likely this is not the case , If your leaking oil do the following, remove the drain plug and gasket and install the new audi oil pan drain plug gasket, the updated gasket has a circular groove which must go facing towards the oil pan when install said gasket on. the drain plus, this is the proper way to install it as per Audi Germany. st_coupe. 25 posts · Joined 2018. #6 · Feb 27, 2018 (Edited) Hi, I have changed thermostat for 3.0 TDI, you can order it separately, but not directly from VW/Audi but as a replacement part. It is easy to test, if you are unsure if it is faulty, but it is hard to reach. I will look up for part no, I have it written down. Step 1 – Check engine oil. It could be low. Whenever you have an engine issue, it's good to check the engine oil, especially if the warning light is screaming low "oil" pressure. Use your dipstick to check the oil level. If it's too low, you could have a leak somewhere, or your car could be burning oil. The A6 allroad offers a choice of four such units, the least relevant of the quartet being the 310PS TFSI petrol engine that virtually all original UK customers elbowed aside in favour of a diesel. Most were tempted by the entry-level 204PS 3.0-litre TDI that manages 60mph in 7.2 seconds and will knock on the door of 140mph where conditions allow. The fourth generation Audi A6 is available in two body styles: sedan (4-door) and Avant (station wagon). The German car has a length of 4920 mm, a width of 1870 mm and a height of 1460 mm. The wheelbase is 2910 mm. The weight of the car varies from 1460 to 1950 kg depending on the version. Big A. I'm currently thinking about getting an auto A6 avant (2005-08), and after a fair bit of research it would appear that the 2.0 TDI is a ticking time bomb, and the CVT auto box is made of chocolate. The 3.0 TDI looks to be prone to injector problems, so is the 2.7 TDI Quattro with the multi-tronic box the most reliable engine and auto Ive been looking at a 2012 a5 3.0 tdi Quattro black edition today and I’m interested in a 2014 S5 black edition, but that is a damaged repaired car so I’m unsure. It’s lovely though and I love the 3.0 tfsi engine. 40 TDI S Line 4dr S Tronic. £18,639. Details. Audi A6 3.0 TDI - Inlet manifold problem. Hi, I have an 08 Audi A6 3.0 TDI quattro with 75k Miles. Last Novemeber I got an engine managment warning light on the vehicle and £750 later (£550 for the part and £200 for the fitting) a new LHS inlet manifold. I wasn't too thrilled with that, but The intake manifold is split into 3 sections. 1) Top section is the split black plastic piping - pretty straight forward to remove, along with the throttle valve. (first bit of the strip down) 2) Lower section of left left hand manifold (while standing in front of the car looking into bay). 9QS9p.
